Microsoft Azure enables you to import and export files (Beta)

Begin journeys based on current user behavior.

You can utilize nine adjustable, real-time behavioral triggers to initiate Marketing Cloud Journeys with Interaction Studio Triggered Campaigns, such as a cart or browse abandonment, product price reduction, and product back-in-stock. Interaction Studio may provide useful information and recommendations to Journey Builder Entry Events, which can then be used for personalization and decision splits. With built-in reporting and dashboards, you can run A/B testing and assess the performance of your triggered campaigns.

Where: All integrated Marketing Cloud customers will be influenced by changes.

How: For each triggered campaign, there are various components to configure in Contact Builder, Journey Builder, and Interaction Studio. In Contact Builder, create a data extension. In Journey Builder, create a journey API event. In Journey Builder, create a journey and select the contact entry mode. In Interaction Studio, review and finish the trigger criteria, set frequency restrictions, design triggered templates, and create a triggered campaign. In Contact Builder, change the data extension.

Updated Einstein Models for Mail Privacy Protection Provide More Accurate Predictions

To reflect the growing list of Mail Privacy Protection measures, the Einstein models have been revised. The models combine a probabilistic capability with a composite metric of opens and clicks. The probabilistic capabilities can tell the difference between a machine-generated and a subscriber-generated open.

With Journey Builder Entries for Push Notification and In-App Message Engagement, target customers in real-time.

When a contact opens a push notification or interacts with an in-app message, you can easily retarget them. The sources for Push Message Engagement and In-App Message Engagement Entry listen for engagement from specified messages and add contacts to a journey. At any given time, you can listen to up to ten different messages.

When: Through June 2022, these additional entry source activities will be made available on a periodic basis.

How: Configure the Push Message Engagement Entry Source or the In-App Message Engagement Entry Source by dragging them onto the trip canvas. When a contact opens the selected push notice, the Push Message Engagement Entry Source adds them to the journey. When a contact views or dismisses a message or clicks a button, the In-App Message Engagement Entry Source adds them to the journey.

Marketing Cloud Package Manager can be used to update deployed data extensions.

By upgrading packaged data extensions during deployment, you can easily manage versions and push updates across environments. Package Manager looks for objects with the same name when you deploy an updated version of your package.

Data Extensions can assist you to enrich your engagement data.

Without utilizing code, query your data extension data with email and mobile push engagement data. Contextualize your engagement data and tailor your messaging based on audience attributes from your data extensions' performance.

Where: This update affects Engagement Advanced Intelligence Reports in Pro, Corporate, and Enterprise editions.

How: In the Setup tab, you can connect data extensions. You can query the data in the Queries module after connecting a data extension.

Restricted AMPscript Use in Multi-Org Data Extensions Improves Security

When utilizing AMPscript in a multi org account configuration, AMPscript is restricted to the Synchronized Data Extensions that are associated to the same connected app user to strengthen security and prevent unwanted data sharing across the enterprise account and business units. This restriction guarantees that AMPscript access to data for personalization in each business unit is the same as the Synchronized Data Extension for that business unit, which can be found on the Data Extensions page in Contact Builder.

When: This update will be implemented in the Marketing Cloud version in October. When utilizing AMPscript, make sure you're using Synchronized Data Extensions that belong to the integration and use the same linked app user.
